As part of my partnership with the South Dakota Grassland Coalition, I have the privilege interviewing as many of the featured producers from the SDGC’s Grassland Planner as I can. This is the first interview in that series with Cody Jorgensen of Jorgensen Land and Cattle Partnership in Ideal, SD. In this engaging discussion, we talk about the benefits of grazing cover crops not just for soil health but also animal performance and longevity.

Along with being featured in the Grassland Planner, Cody and the operation of which he is apart were the subject of a mini-documentary in the “Our Amazing Grasslands” series.
